In the second quarter of 2021, the top Maps and Navigation apps on Android in Central America showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends from Sensor Tower data.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between approximately 142K and 184K. The app had a notable peak in the week of May 10 with 184K downloads. Active users also showed a gradual increase, starting at around 3.4M in late March and reaching up to 3.7M by the end of June.

Uber - Request a ride saw weekly downloads ranging from about 96K to 115K, with a peak of 115K in the week of June 14. The weekly active users displayed a positive trend, moving from approximately 5M in late March to around 5.4M by the end of June.

inDrive. Save on city rides had weekly downloads between roughly 77K and 113K. The highest downloads were recorded in the week of April 26. Active users for inDrive showed a rise from about 1.2M in late March to nearly 1.5M at the end of June.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained stable weekly downloads, ranging from 49K to 60K. The app saw a peak in downloads in the week of June 21 with 60K. Active users increased from around 1M in late March to about 1.1M by the end of June.

Beat Passenger: Find your ride had weekly downloads that fluctuated between approximately 12K and 22K. The highest downloads were seen in the week of April 26 with 22K. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at around 342K in late March and ending at approximately 313K by the end of June.
